Some of Joy's earliest memories are of Sunday afternoons trailing behind her mother through the crowded aisles of Midwestern antique shops. Those are treasured memories, and Joy has had an enduring love of antiques ever since. The more primitive, the better. She has a passion for what her great grandma called "making something out of nothing," and is always on the prowl for discarded furniture, hardware, and interesting found objects that she can "recreate" into something fun and functional.
Shortly after making Boulder her home, Joy made Good Use her second home in the winter of 2003. She made it her personal mision to find solutions to any and all of the Good Use furniture "glitches."
In the Spring of 2004, Joy launched "Joyful," her own line of refinished, restyled, rebuilt, and recreated furniture and home accessories. You can find Joy at www.joyfulfurniture.com. Stop by and see her latest collection of "somethings made out of nothings."
