Good Use prides itself on helping reduce our communities waste by saving a large majority of our furniture items and refinishing materials from going to landfill.

Over the years we have recycled thousands of pounds of lumber, hardware, and actual furniture items as well as hundreds of gallons of paint and cleaning supplies. You might spy our lime green U-Haul combing the allies of Boulder on garbage day, or see us salvaging paint from Eco-Cycles Hazardous Waste Program on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. We also accept donations from businesses and customers of latex paint, building materials such as old window panes and lumber, and furniture pieces daily, during store hours.

A lot of our furniture has come to us in desperate need of TLC, already turned away from thrift stores and non-profits, on it's way to the garbage.

When we aren't actually saving a piece from landfill, we are reducing our own waste and impact on the environment by using only water-based refinishing materials. (No oil based products such and stains and
strippers!) We also work with real wood only. (No plastics, particle board, or other synthetic materials.)

Since opening our doors we have managed to recycle the vast majority of our waste and have thrown out a bare minimum. We are proud that we operate on so little. That we are "saving the earth with style!
