Theresa has been involved in the arts from a very young age due to the encouragement
of her mother, a self-taught artist, and her aunt, an art educator.
Her formal art training began in high school at the Pinellas County
Center for the Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida. There she received
a foundation in several media, including drawing, painting, and
printmaking.
At the University of South Florida, Theresa studied photography
in depth until she began to experiment with non-silver processes
that crossed over into printmaking. Woodblock became a favorite
medium because of its simplicity and graphic nature.
A few years after college, Theresa went on a road trip in a VW
van and ended up in Durango, Colorado where she lived for many
years before moving to Boulder, Colorado where she now works and
resides.
Theresa's woodblock prints are represented by four galleries,
and recently was chosen to hang over 170 pieces in the rooms of
the St. Regis Hotel in Aspen, Colorado.
